MOOSEJAWTODAY.COM -- Brayden Yager is on his way back to the Moose Jaw Warriors. The star forward was reassigned by the Winnipeg Jets of the National Hockey League to the Warriors after a strong showing at their training camp over the past few weeks.

The Winnipeg Jets announced Sunday that they have trimmed their training camp roster by five players, bringing their overall total to 36.

The Winnipeg Jets have sent five more players packing from training camp. Forwards Brayden Yager, Colby Barlow, Parker Ford and Daniel Torgersson and goaltender Domenic DiVincentiis were cut on Sunday morning. Yager and Barlow will return to junior for another season, while Ford, Torgersson and DiVincentiis will report to the Manitoba Moose.

Cuts by the Winnipeg Jets at training camp Sunday' leave an active roster of four goalies, 11 defensemen, and 19 forwards going into the final two preseason games versus Calgary.

Between four days of camp, two preseason games, and a plethora of news, there was a lot to take away from the opening weekend of Winnipeg Jets training camp. Brayden Yager made his Winnipeg Jets preseason debut on Saturday night against the Minnesota Wild, and the 19-year-old centre flashed his skill set at both ends of the ice.

The Winnipeg Jets still have some positions to fill as the teams heads for the first pre-season game on Saturday.
