As it turns out, there's actually a reason for Link's muteness in Echoes of Wisdom. Once you've beaten the first dungeon of the game, head downstairs into Lueberry's basement and you'll spot his diary on the table. Examine Part Two of the diary and you'll find out about Link rescuing the inventor.

When I reached the credits of Echoes of Wisdom, I thought back fondly on Zelda's adventure, only to realize just how badly she was treated at the end of her story. We break that down and pose how it could have been handled better.

Echoes of Wisdom is a shorter, tighter adventure compared to the recent Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom. This approach takes the series back to its roots with a top-down perspective and dungeons filled with devious puzzles.

IGN (9/10) – “The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom is far more than some second-tier spinoff, combining the expertly crafted dungeons and item progression you’d expect from a 2D Zelda with the wild creativity provided by Tears of the Kingdom.”

The Nintendo video game, a mainline entry in the long-running series, is the first one to focus on Zelda, allowing players to control the princess.
