The Bolts made a number of community visits and pledges on Tuesday following the devastation of Hurricane Helene

With the community in desperate need following Hurricane Helene, Lightning captain Victor Hedman and his wife, Santa, have pledged $150,000 to those in need.

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Tampa Bay Lightning’s newest team captain — Victor Hedman — is stepping up outside of the rink. On Monday, Hedman and his wife Sanna announced they’ll be donating $150,000 to local relief efforts following the catastrophic destruction of Hurricane Helene.

Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Victor Hedman, who signed a four-year extension, also said it would be a "privilege" to be the next captain of the team with unfinished business.
