Calgary police say they're investigating the assault of a prominent local radio host over the weekend. Police say they received a report of an assault near a banquet hall on Sunday afternoon in the city's Horizon neighbourhood. When officers arrived, they located a man with injuries consistent with an assault.

Police say homicide detectives are investigating after a man was found dead after someone reported a person in medical distress in northeast Calgary on Monday night. According to police, paramedics were first called about a man possibly experiencing cardiac arrest at a home in the 0 to 100 block of Cityside Manor Northeast at 9:40 p.m.

Police confirmed Monday they are investigating an assault on a journalist at RED FM, a South Asian radio station based in Calgary.
