Due to a traveling snafu, Butler was a late arrival to Heat media day ahead of the 2024-25 season. Though he was reportedly on hand, Butler did not meet with the media at the same time as head coach Erik Spoelstra or teammates Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro.
