Renault’s so-called ‘Renaulution’ is set to continue at this month’s Paris Motor Show, with the reveal of a new Renault 4. The new Renault 4 is set to be fully unveiled on October 14. The company has released an early set of teaser pictures of the all-new all-electric model revealing its retro design details.

The crossover is a spiritual successor for the iconic Renault 4 launched in 1961, and its design was previewed at the 2022 Paris auto show by the 4Ever Trophy concept. The automaker also launched a 5 electric hatchback earlier this year, making it another iconic model from the French brand's past that has been reborn for the electric era.

The 1961 Renault 4 revolutionised the automotive market and went on to achieve emblematic status. It was Renault’s first family car with a front-mounted engine, and had no transmission tunnel so its floor was flat.
