Delhi Chief Minister Atishi is set to meet activist Sonam Wangchuk and other detained protesters from Ladakh at Bawana police station, criticizing their detention as a “dictatorship.” Atishi expressed that it’s unjust for Ladakhis to be stopped from peacefully protesting and attempting to visit Gandhi Samadhi on October 2.

Delhi chief minister Atishi has claimed that police, on LG VK Saxena's orders, blocked her from meeting detained Ladakh climate activist Sonam Wangchuk. Atishi emphasized that this kind of governance is dictatorial and called for full statehood status for Ladakh and Delhi.

Sonam Wanchuk's supporters, who were also detained, have been kept at several other police stations at Delhi borders.
